| Our program introduces children to the fundamentals of aikido through
imaginative play, and games. Exercises include centering, learning how to
properly fall and roll, with a focus on footwork, and balancing. Children
practice aikido techniques of basic self-defense, and martial skills like
striking, kicking, and learning how to blend with attack. |
| There is no competition with our Aikido program. Many styles of martial
arts practice, have sparing and completive trophy oriented matches. The
philosophy here at Aikido Seishinkan Dojo is to compete with or better ones
self, and the trophy's are in ones own heart. |
| This type of training helps to keep children's life
energy's in tact as
well as develop correct mind and body coordination. |
| Our instructors are David
Goldberg Sensei, 4th degree black belt and chief instructor of Aikido
Seishinkan dojo. Daniel Grant one of Sensei's senior students leads the
Sunday class.
Sensei and Dan's children practice in the class, and are joined by parent
volunteers. |
| You are welcome to come with your children to observe a class. As well
we invite you to have your children participate in in two free classes to
better realize the benefits for both you and your child. |
