Dues and Fees
There are no contracts.
Monthly Dues
  • Monthly dues are $80 per adult student, due on the 25th of the previous month. You may attend as many classes as you wish. Dues also include training in iaido, if you would like to study that art in addition to your aikido training.
  • Couples dues: $140/month 2 family members
  • Family dues: $200/month each additional family member $60 a month
  • Lil'Dragons: $50/month 1 day a week $70/month 2 days a week
  • Big Dragons: $80/month $60/month each additional child in family
Additional Fees
  • Annual ASU membership fee, due on January 1 of each year:
    • $75 for those of black belt rank
    • $35 for those under black belt rank
  • Testing fee: $35
    Testing for kyu ranks is held three times per year. The test fee for all ranks below black belt covers the cost of your certificate, your new belt (if applicable), and all ASU processing fees.

Uniform & Equipment
Dogi (Uniform): You may wear your own judo or karate dogi or you may purchase one through the dojo. Heavyweight judo dogi are $65, and lightweight dogi are $40.
Hakama: The split-skirt (you may choose black or blue) can be worn by ASU students can wear hakama immediately following 1st exam. Hakama can be purchased from our online or in-house store.We carry Bujin design hakamas as well as many Japanese made hakama . Prices vary greatly depending on your preferences. Weapons: Some weapons are available for borrowing at the dojo. Eventually you will wish to purchase your own weapons (bokken, jo, knife [tanto], short sword [shoto], bamboo sword [shinai]). Weapons can be purchased from our online store or in-house store. See Sensei if you are interested in purchasing a sword or iaito (Gold Mountain Forge). Prices vary greatly, depending on your preferences.
